 oduce the Second Annual Ethiopian Festival in Silver Spring MD\, an upscal
 e Ethiopian inspired event featuring educational\, cultural and contempora
 ry components.</p>\n<p>The festival aims to promote the economic engagemen
 t and cultural expression of the Ethiopian-American community. The event a
 lso serves to link Ethiopian-American businesses\, artists\, community lea
 ders\, and residents with policy makers\, news media\, and other private-s
 ector organizations in the metropolitan Washington\, D.C. region. By build
 ing these cultural and economic bridges\, the festival strives to foster b
 roader understanding and economic and cultural ties between the United Sta
 tes and Ethiopia. This year’s festival will honor Mr. Tadesse Meskela\, fo
 under and manager of the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (OCFCU).<
