Fifty year ago, on July 2, 1964, the Civil Rights Act became law. To commemorate this historic event, a special event was held at Howard University with Attorney General Eric Holder, Ambassador Andrew Young, Interim Howard President Dr. Wayne A. I Frederick and others in attendance. WHUT-TV was there to capture the moment and will broadcast the Civil Rights Act 50th Anniversary Special on the following dates.
