Three Powerful Ways to Give to WHUT This Year-End
Celebrating Our Past, Broadcasting Our Impact, Illuminating Our Future
As WHUT celebrates 45 years of serving the DMV, we continue our mission as the nation’s only HBCU-owned public television station while elevating community stories, inspiring all learners, and training the next generation of Howard University storytellers.
This year-end, your support truly matters. Here are three meaningful ways you can uplift WHUT and strengthen our work:
1. Make a Gift Through Your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
A gift from your DAF is one of the simplest and most impactful ways to support WHUT.
Your contribution directly sustains trusted programming, local storytelling, and student media training, which is a perfect fit for your philanthropic goals.
2. Give Through an IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution
If you’re 70½ or older, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA allows you to support WHUT in a tax-advantaged way.
Your QCD can count toward your Required Minimum Distribution while fueling WHUT’s mission and expanding educational opportunities for our community. Provided the custodian of your IRA with the following information:
Name: WHUT Howard University Television
Address: 2222 4th Street NW, Washington, DC 20059
Tax ID (EIN): 53-0204707
For further assistance, please contact Nadia Rahaman, Director of Development & Underwriting at 202-806-3035.
3. Donate a Used Vehicle — Running or Not
Turn your unused car, truck, RV, or motorcycle into an investment in community media.
Vehicle donations support public programming across the DMV and provide hands-on training opportunities for Howard University students.
These gifts power our 45 for 45 Anniversary Campaign, helping WHUT celebrate our past, broadcast our impact, and illuminate our future. Or join us with a special one-time $45 or $450 gift, or become a $4.50 or $45 monthly sustainer by donating at www.whut.org/donate45th
Thank you for supporting Your Stories! Your Station!
