WHUT Hosts Hands-On Production Training for Howard Students

WHUT recently welcomed Howard University students for an engaging, hands-on production training session aimed at building real-world media skills. The event attracted over 40 students, with more than 20 attending the full four-hour session demonstrating strong interest in media production and storytelling.

Throughout the session, students explored key aspects of the production workflow, including lighting, camera operation, and audio setup. WHUT’s experienced team guided participants through best practices and shared practical tips that professionals use to bring stories to life whether in studio environments or on location.

The training also introduced students to a range of career options in the media industry. From working with production companies to pursuing freelance opportunities, attendees gained valuable insight into the diverse paths available to aspiring creators. WHUT emphasized the importance of adaptability, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills that are essential in today’s fast-paced media landscape.
