Happy Accidents: An Exhibit of Original Bob Ross Paintings
September 10 – October 15, 2019.
Opening Reception: Sunday, September 15, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Admission: Individuals & Groups
Admission to the exhibit is free, but daily tickets are required. Tickets can be reserved here for time blocks of 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
Groups of 10 or more must call to reserve a one-hour time block. Groups can contact the Arts Center directly at 540-338-7973. Franklin Park has picnic shelter areas that can be reserved (fees may apply) by calling the park office at 540-338-7603.
The public is invited to an opening reception on Sunday, September 15, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Arts Center. The excitement around this exhibit has been incredible; please understand that you may experience a wait for admission and be directed to park in satellite lots within the park. A shuttle bus will be provided for visitors needing assistance from satellite lots.
Directions & Travel
Franklin Park Performing and Visual Arts Center is located at 36441 Blueridge View Lane, Purcellville, Virginia, 20132. When you enter the park, follow the main road to the stop sign, turn right and continue up the hill in the direction of the white barn-style structure with a silo. Park in either of the nearby lots and proceed toward the large sculpture and front entrance. Travelers planning to attend the exhibit can find information about local accommodations and attractions at www.visitloudoun.org.
There are three, one-day workshops that will be presented by a certified Bob Ross Inc instructor. The workshops are scheduled for September 20, 21 and 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each student will take home a personal painting completed by guided instruction in the Bob Ross method. Class size is limited. Online registration for the workshops will begin August 15 at 12:01 a.m. The registration fee is $75 per person.
